Visual Arts

The Visual Arts program at ChiArts will begin with instruction in the traditional foundations, principles, and elements of art, and then progress toward larger concepts and skills including critical analysis of visual culture and emphasis on independent choice in the creation of art. The program will challenge and empower students to develop their own aesthetic as they mature into innovative artists, divergent thinkers, and creative critics.

Students of all abilities may interview for admission into the Visual Arts program. ChiArts recognizes the need to provide opportunities for students who have had prior instruction in the visual arts, as well as students who have not had prior training but demonstrate strong natural abilities and a desire to learn.
