The ChiArts Foundation

The Chicago High School for the Arts receives academic and operational funding from the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) district on a per pupil basis, which supports its academic courses and academic faculty.

All five arts conservatories of ChiArts and arts conservatory faculty are donor-funded through the school’s philanthropic partner, the ChiArts Foundation. Learn more about the Foundation and donate to the ChiArts arts conservatories at https://chiartsfoundation.org/

The ChiArts Foundation raises funds to ensure ChiArts’ scholar-artists have access to opportunities that help them thrive as creators, thinkers, and community members. Art programs fully funded by the ChiArts Foundation include the School’s Music, Dance, Theater, Visual Arts, and Creative Writing conservatories. The Foundation’s fundraising is accomplished through the generosity of individuals, corporate and foundation grants, and signature events that celebrate the creativity and diversity of the ChiArts community. Pre-professional arts training at this level would not be possible without the help of ChiArts Foundation donors. The Foundation’s work also includes developing community and arts partnerships, supporting outreach and admissions through marketing and external programming, and providing professional development support and networks for alumni and current students.
