The ChiArts Honors Jazz Septet is The Chicago High School for the Arts’ premier jazz ensemble, belonging to the school’s audition-only Jazz Combo class. Since its inception, it has attracted unique and gifted students who create and express themselves through contemporary music styles, and most especially the art of improvisation. Jazz Combo students are hard-working and dedicated, and are taught to have the highest caliber of professionalism and maturity for their many performances external to the school.
