ChiArts hosts an annual three-week summer camp designed for students in grades 6-8 (Band camp is an exception, see below) to explore the artistic disciplines of Band, Creative Writing, Dance, Voice, Theatre, and Visual Arts in a joyful and nurturing environment, led by artists from The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts). Campers will receive pre-professional training in the arts from ChiArts faculty and alumni teaching artists.

CHIARTS OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
We never want finances to stand in the way of a student’s artistic journey! If you’d like to apply for a scholarship, we will have forms ready to fill our prior to registration.

Our programs are designed for middle schoolers, focusing on sparking creativity and cultivating artistic skills. We welcome recent 8th-grade graduates to join us, and our Band camp is the only program accepting students from 4th to 8th grade. By the end of camp, students will also gain insights into the audition process at ChiArts. But our camp isn’t just for those aiming to attend ChiArts— it’s also a great experience for middle schoolers with artistic aspirations, no matter where they plan to go next!
